Today, I am very excited to share a wonderful book with you called What I Wish I Knew at 18 by Dennis Trittin! This thought-provoking book is a quick read and an invaluable resource for parents with children of any age, but even more so for ones with teens!
Most of us have said at one point or another, "If I only knew then what I know now..." and would have benefited from time-tested wisdom before the fact. And, as parents and mentors, we’ve longed for a book that serves as a “destination guide” for our children’s launch into adulthood – one that prepares them for the real world successes and strengthens our relationships.
What I Wish I Knew at 18 offers compelling insights for key life decisions and gives adults the reassurance they’ve prepared their children well. Dennis has also developed a whole curriculum around this book and offers it as well as many more extremely helpful features on his website.
What I Wish I Knew at 18
Written by Dennis Trittin
One of the things that stood out to me was when he was talking about setting goals and when you see people that has achieved their goals how sometimes they can't help but look a bit disappointed. Then he spoke of enjoying the journey even more than the achievement of the goal. I liked the "Take Five" sections to really help a person think and apply what they have just read.
I really liked this book. It was so practical and thoughtful. It would be a great graduation book but really it is a good book for anyone to really think about how you are using your life.
