Pretzel Caramel Crunch Homemade "Blizzards"

We used to live in Missouri and in southwest Missouri they have a place called Andi's Frozen Custard.  It is heavenly and I love to go there each time we go visit.  They make "concretes" instead of "blizzards".  Every time I go I love to get their Pretzel Caramel Crunch.  It is my favorite - the sweet, the salty - it is a yummy combination, but since I live quite a ways from there now I wanted to try to make my own.  Below is the result.

 Ingredients:

Caramel Sauce (Homemade or melting caramels - recipe below)
Ice cream
Pretzels
Milk or Cream

**I don't measure things so all of this is a guesstimate.

First off - melt your caramels (or just use homemade caramel sauce or store bought):

I bought a bag of caramels at CVS for $0.99.  They had the white centers in them.  Start by melting 2 T. of butter in your pan then add the caramels and stir often until they are melted.  Once they are melted add 1/4 cup of cream or milk - stir well and add more cream if the sauce is too thick.  Remove from heat and let cool slightly.

Put 5-6 scoops of vanilla ice cream in your blender.  Add 1-2 handful of pretzels.  Drizzle your caramel sauce over it (it is fine if it is still hot).  Add about 1/2 cup of milk.  If it is too thick add more milk.  Taste and see if it is sweet enough and if not add more caramel sauce.  Blend until pretzels are chopped up but not incinerated.  This made two good sized "blizzards" for me and my husband.  The kids didn't get any but maybe next time I will make more for them, maybe.
