Book Review: God Gave Us So Much

God Gave Us So Much: A Limited-Edition Three-Book Treasury

I am always on the lookout for quality Christian books to read to my kids.  I was interested in this one because it was three books in one.  The art work is very good.  It kept my children's attention.  The books can be a little long for really little ones.  Although my younger two did sit through each story and my daughter asked all kinds of questions.

Here is a description of the product from Amazon:

Through the eyes of a curious little polar bear, young readers are invited into engaging journeys through the Arctic North Pole to explore some of their most tender-hearted and important questions.

Mama, Papa, and Grampa Bear, the ever-loving and wise guides for Little Cub’s adventures, share with her the incredible miracles of God’s creation and the depths of His love for her.

With heart and humor, the stories reveal the beauty of diversity throughout the world, the incredible gift of love, and the wonderment of our Heavenly home to come.

My thoughts:

God Gave Us the World walks you through questions asked by Little Cub about the world around us.  It tells how other bears live in other parts of the world which I found interesting myself especially when they got to the grizzly bears in America.

God Gave Us Love did not hold my children's interest as long as the other two, but I liked what it taught.  I could use it to teach them to love their siblings when it is not always easy to love someone.

My favorite of the three books is God Gave Us Heaven.  It has actually come at a good time for our family because we are in the process of losing a loved one.  The story is simplistic but does a good job of answering questions that a little one might have.  Of course you should teach your child about heaven and use the Bible, but this story is good for answering questions in a story format.

I would recommend these books for your collection.  The artwork is very good.  The stories are interesting.  They are a little long but they were able to keep the attention of my children.

Disclaimer:  Waterbrook Multnomah Publishers has provided me with a complimentary copy of this book for review purposes.

  1. Is this the same author that wrote the "Good Gave Us You" book? My kids loved that book and the artwork looks so familiar!
