Goals for the week and last week's update - October



Last week's goals:

Mothering Goals
1. Consistently work on a quiet time with the kids. - Okay so we left their quiet time books at church so this didn't happen very consistently. 
2. Work on doing weekly chores consistently.  They have the daily chores down. - The kids did pretty good with this.

Personal Goals
3. Work on consistent exercise at least 4 days a week. - Peeshaw
4.  Simplify my wardrobe.  Pare it down and make sure I can make outfits with the pieces I have.  Using this for inspiration. -DONE!

Home Management Goals
5.  Buy apples or see if I can pick some and make applesauce and apple butter and apple pie filling. - Going to the orchard this week!
6. Work on making  chewy granola bars and whole wheat graham crackers.
7. Go through kids clothes and pair those down - especially my daughters. - Keeping on the list
8.  Work on plan for next freezer cooking to be done in two weeks. - Working on this
9. Organize school workbooks and busy bags.

Ministry Goals
10. Being consistent in using my prayer binder daily. - Doing better
11. Make freezer meals for new mom.
12. Write two encouraging notes this week, one to a missionary from our church.  Have the kids also write a note or draw a picture to include. 


This week's goals:

Mothering Goals
1. Consistently work on a quiet time with the kids.
2. Work on "money" chore ideas so they can earn money.  These are above and beyond our regular "you are part of our family so you do these chores" chores.

Personal Goals
3. Work on consistent exercise at least 4 days a week. Again.
4. Find and start reading "Who Chose the Gospels" by C. E. Hill.

Home Management Goals
5. Organize computer armoire.
6. Work on organizing bench in dining room.  It is our catch all place.
7. Make next beef order.
8. Work on plan for next freezer cooking to be done in two weeks. - repeat from last week
9. Work on Christmas list - get ideas, see what I need to buy, check prices, etc.

Ministry Goals
10. Work on service project with kids - including getting items for Operation Christmas Child.
11. Make a meal for someone this week and take it to them.
12. Write two encouraging notes this week, one to a missionary from our church. Have the kids also write a note or draw a picture to include.

  1. If you want to buy apples to make applesauce, you might want to wait until the end of October so you can get the seconds. I'm sure you know this, but seconds are a much better deal, and I think the applesauce comes out better because the apples are softer and more sugary by that point.
