So let me introduce myself.
Hi, I am Gretchen. I am a native Hoosier and no, I still don't know exactly what a Hoosier is. I have been blogging since 2008. I blog for myself as a way to keep things together and to share ideas and things with anyone who is interested.
I am married. My husband and I have been married for over 10 years. He doesn't actually read my blog unless I tell him to read a certain post. He is pretty great and I am extremely thankful for him. We met at Wal-mart when we were both working there going to separate colleges. I was a cashier and he worked in produce. It used to make me so nervous when he would go through my line. My grandpa always said you can get everything at Wal-mart. And now we don't even shop there - ironic.
This handsome little man is my first born. I refer to him as I-man just to keep things a little more private. He has such a big heart and is really a sweet little boy. Just don't call him little. He doesn't like it. He is definitely all boy and would rather play the Wii than read but we are working on that one. School is not his favorite thing but he does like his friends and his teacher. He has some great one liners and can win any burping contest. We won't tell you who he gets that from. This little girl is definitely a clone of me (my poor husband) except for the blond hair. I call her Miss M here on the blog. She is bossy and persistent and yet very cute and sweet. She loves all things family especially babies. She loves being a big sister to her "little brother". She definitely likes "school" even though she doesn't go. She begs me to do school at home with her. She is a quick learner and can be a little sassy. We won't tell you who she gets that from.

And finally we have "Little Man". No one has shared with him that he is a third child. He definitely likes to be right in the middle of everything and is so hopelessly cute that we couldn't ignore him even if we tried. He likes to watch Barney and he loves anything with wheels.
I definitely strive to be June Cleaver but I still have yet to vacuum in pearls and high heels although I am not ruling that out. I love being home. I love almost everything about home. I don't love cleaning toilets or putting away the dishes from the dishwasher day after day but hey, I am willing to make the sacrifice.
I love Jesus. I am an Evangelical Christian and I hate moral relativism. It makes me crazy.
I'm 100% for the nuclear family and I will do whatever I can to see that it does not become extinct. Just stating the facts here.
I'm ambivalent on baby-wearing, cloth diapering and soaking my grains. I think all things in moderation is a good rule of thumb (providing they are moral and ethical).
I'm a fan of chocolate in all forms. I love living in Indiana because you can get to a lot of good places quickly. I heart the interstate. Pizza would absolutely be my favorite food, with mashed potatoes coming in a close second but never together.
I love the beach and I want to see it every.single.year if possible. I don't really want to live there full time, but I do need to see and smell the ocean for a good 10 days at least once a year.
I actually love driving a mini van.
Well, that is all I can think of for now. Hope you enjoyed this peak into my crazy world.
