So today was my birthday (no applause please). I received lots of wonderful little gifts (thank you all). But, my sweet, wonderful mother-in-law (pictured here with a handsome man) bought me a nice, new sewing machine! Now, I do not just love her for her gifts (although they are nice). I love her because she truly is a blessing to me. She welcomed me into their family. She is a wonderful grandmother to my children. She is not at all like all of those mother-in-laws that you hear about. She doesn't meddle. She is just simple and quiet and sweet. I hope she doesn't mind that I put her picture up here (it will probably be more my father-in-law that would mind that). And isn't she lovely folks? Anyway, I wanted to pay tribute to her because I am very thankful for her. And I am thankful that I can have a good relationship with my mother-in-law because I know that some people do not have that. Love ya MJ!- Her children rise up and call her blessed;

Ahhhh Gretchen!!! I totally just called Debby last night and was asking her what she thought about some specific gifts for you because today was your birthday....bla bla bla. Then I see you today for QUITE the length of time, talk to you on the phone for 45 minutes.....and in all that time, never even for ONE second, did I remember that it was your birthday.
