Week In Review - end of September

How was our week you ask?  Oh, well, thank you so much for asking.  How polite you are.  Our week went very well.  My mother has been here helping out like crazy so I finally feel like the day-to-day things are getting accomplished - you know the little things like dishes and laundry.

Here is my girl posing in her birthday outfit given to her by her Mimi who is so much more fashionable than her Mommy.

I think her eyes get bigger every week.

This picture cracks me up.  Little man is brushing my hair while I am nursing and he kept assuring me that it "doesn't hurt".  My face says otherwise.

Here is my daily manicure that I get by Miss M.

She is helping me cut green beans so that we can can them.

Here is how Little Man helped - he ran his motorcycles through the ends of the green beans.

Here is our precious green beans.  I have been canning them for four years and I just can't make myself buy some cans from the grocery store.  Once you go home canned you can't go back.

And we started subtraction in 3 digit numbers - yeck.  I don't even like doing that but here is my big second grader doing his best.

I wanted her to practice her writing.  Instead of just copying things she wanted to make a list of spy equipment (don't ask) she wanted to buy.  So I spelled out the words while she wrote them out.

He is practicing his writing to.  And we did a little Starfall too.

We FINALLY bought a fire pit thing and we roasted hot dogs, had chili and made smores with our friends.   It was such a nice relaxing evening.

For entertainment my oldest pulled the other kids around the yard in the wagon.  We like cheap entertainment.

Then we put the kids to bed and my husband and I enjoyed the fire and listening to our local high school's marching band practice (we live close to the high school).

Then we capped the week off  with 10 children and two adults (my friend and her kids while watching my other friend's kids).  We ate pizza and played.  When you have boys wrestling is really inevitable.

That was our week - how was yours?
