Lettuce Wraps

I don't know why I haven't made these before because they are easy and delicious and pretty healthy too.

Lettuce Wraps

Ingredients:

2 teaspoons olive oil
1 pound grassfed beef
1 tsp. of ground ginger
2 tsp. of onion powder
2 tsp. of garlic salt
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
Salt and black pepper
1 head Boston lettuce, leaves separated, cleaned and dried

Directions:
In a skillet over medium-high heat, add the vegetable oil and saute beef until brown. Stir in ginger, onion powder, garlic, soy sauce, red pepper flakes, and cook for 1 minute. Remove from the heat and season with salt and pepper and serve warm wrapped in lettuce cups.

Adapted from Food Network
I served this with couscous and broccoli.  We just put diced red pepper on top.  We really liked these.  I'm sure they are not like the restaurant version (I've never had them at the restaurants).  Even the kids gobbled them up.

  1. Boston is my new favorite lettuce. I would like these with a tortilla wrapped around the wrap:P

That defeats the purpose! But you probably already knew that. Try the lettuce, I'm telling you, it is good!

I just do things easier and use what I have on hand. I'm so bad about following recipes.
