Week in Review - 6.29.11

I have been slacking off regarding picture taking.  Last week we had my niece over and one day we had Iman's BFF over.  They LOVE Lego Wii games.  So they spent some time discussing strategy and playing all the Wii Lego games that we have.

Then last Monday we went to the zoo with some friends.  We had a great time.  It was raining like crazy in the morning and we didn't think we could go which was really bad since our daughter woke us up at 5:30am saying she didn't think she could sleep any longer because she was so excited to go to the zoo.  Note to self - don't tell them we are going until we are on our way.

The clouds went away and cleared up just in time for us to go and enjoy the day.  We even saw the sun for a while.

Can you see the monkey?

Close UP!

No, she's not mine, but she is adorable!

Not sure what we are looking at but it has to be pretty cool

Looking at the bats

Aren't they creepy looking when they sleep?

Lemur King!

Love the giraffes

The whole gang plus one little extra man

Elephants!

And the sharks - my sons favorite part

You can't see it in the picture above very well, but we got to the penguins at feeding time and they were going CRAZY!  It was so fun to watch them I could have stayed there 2 more hours.  We had such a good time at the zoo - thanks to AJ and Angel for taking us.

Oh, and last night we actually got family pictures taken by my friend's sister.  It was great and she posted a sneak peek on her blog, but here are a couple shots of us from there:

While we were there this guy practically chased our photographer down to get her number for pictures.  It was kind of funny.  If you are interested her site is Willow Grove Photography.

Now, how was your week?

YES! A lesson I learned long ago.

  2. wait a minute...you didn't use Heidi Stone Photography?? I'm kidding. Your pictures are great, and I'm sure Heidi was in no position to be taking pictures anyway :) We need a family picture, too. Haven't had one since Dec...too long.

I won't make that mistake again. She saw a flyer for the State Fair and now that is all she talks about.

You are too funny. Yep, I didn't think Heidi was in a position to take pictures at this point.
