A Garden Update in the month of May

I haven't been doing a lot with my garden except the occassionaly picking and watering.  We haven't had rain here in over a week:(  I hope it is not a dry summer like last year.  We have still been getting quite a few strawberries but again, my daughter eats them as fast as we can pick them and wash them.

My cute little herb pot and yes, my chives are blooming

We have blueberries!  But they aren't quite ready, still a little tart.

I planted way too many radishes since I am the only one that will eat them.  Oh well . . .

We still have our house up for sale so I am not planting as much this year.  I have some blackberries coming on, onions, carrots, lettuce, green beans, garlic and of course radishes.  I just planted two tomato plants and a few pepper plants so I won't have enough to can or freeze from my stash but I am sure I will be hitting up the local farmers to do that.

  1. Blueberry plants in containers are so pretty. And well done on those radishes--they look very hearty!

  2. I planted too many radishes, too- so easy to do. :-) It is hard when you're not sure how long you'll be there to harvest, but at least you'll be able to enjoy some.
