Calendar Time for kids - technology edition

Have you heard of Calendar Time?  It is a time where we do days of the week, months of the year and a few other things.  I had just been doing it myself but then I decided to bring in some technology so I connected my laptop to my TV and made the list below. 

Here is the one I put together:

Calendar Time

• Prayer time  - Teach your kids to pray
• Play Verse song - Philippians 4:8 this week
• Say the Lord’s prayer - this is on a flip chart too
• Do the pledges - also on a flip chart we do the American flag, the Christian flag and the Bible
• Starfall Calendar
• What is the date? Say the day of the week, month, date and year  
• What day of the week is it?   Sing the “Today is . . . .” song
• Count up to the number  of the day of the month on our actual calendar
• Sing the days of the week song to the tune of The Adam’s Family
• What month is it? spell it out {it starts with a capital letter}
• Sing the days of the month song
• Count out the date with money
• Put the weather up and do the weather graph  Sing weather song
• Count to 100
• Count by 2's, 5's, 10's
• Coins in my hands song
• Sing the Books of the Bible song for NT and OT 

 **They dance around the room during the Books of the Bible song and they LOVE the Count by songs too.  We don't always play the Coins in my hands song because some days it is too much.

This is what we are doing right now - I hope to use it with their calendar notebooks soon but right now at least we are accomplishing something.
