Memorization Monday, Week 3

Okay, so how did we do last week? Did you say your verses to someone? I said mine to my husband. Let’s review – Ephesians 2:8-9. Go ahead, say it to yourself. Then reach way back in your memory and say Psalm 119:2 from our very first week. Okay, onto this week’s verses. There are two, but they are short. They are from Matthew.

Matthew 7

1"Do not judge so that you will not be judged.

5"You hypocrite, first take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your brother's eye. (NASB)

1"Do not judge, or you too will be judged. 5You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother's eye. (NIV)

1Judge not, that ye be not judged.

5Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye (KJV)

1 “Judge not, that you be not judged. 5 Hypocrite! First remove the plank from your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye (NKJV)

So this week, we will work on these two. They aren’t very long, just very convicting! Have a great week! Also, if you are working on other verses - great. You don't have to follow the ones that I put on there. Use ones that you would like to learn. The point is just to do it, and learn the verses.

  1. What a great idea to encourage others to memorize scripture!! I was just very much convicted of this when I read "Ten P's in a Pod" by Arnold Pent!! Their whole family had BOOKS of the Bible memorized. It helps so much to memorize scripture..thanks for the encouragment!!!
