Cajun Chicken thighs - I discovered  a yummy way to cook these in the slow cooker.  I put olive oil in the bottom and sprinkle cajun seasoning on the top and cook overnight.  It made them yummy and a little crunchy on the outside but tender on the inside!  I'll add some potatoes and steamed veggies with these.

March Menu Plan with printable

We have the same things for breakfast and lunch weekly.  It just makes it easier and most of the time my kids get their own breakfast.  If they are lucky I have things in the freezer if not then it is cereal or yogurt.  We usually have leftovers for lunch.

Breakfast:
Lunch:

Supper:

Below is my March Menu Plan Printable.  If you click on it you can print it.  You can also click on each individual day to be taken to that recipe.  Most days have a recipe.  The few that don't are just simple recipes that you can do yourself.  I also gave some sides suggestions but if you are looking for more I wrote a post on Sides Dishes a while back.

Menu Plan - 9.11.11

Still using more of the freezer cooking that I did in my menu plan this week.

I do have a recipe to share sometime this week.  I made Alfredo bake with a new Alfredo sauce.  I made two - one to eat and one for the freezer.

Food Storage
The green beans are canned.  We had 21 quarts canned and two bags in the freezer.  I also made about 5 half pints of salsa.  I am going to look into canning some soups.  I would like to try this Beef Vegetable soup and this Chicken Corn Soup.

Menu Plan

Now onto my menu, as usual I keep breakfast and lunches simple.  We eat the same thing week after week for breakfast and lunch.  I make a bunch of the blender batter waffles on Saturday to put in the freezer for the rest of the week.  I also cook my bacon in bulk and freeze to pull out and microwave during the week.

 Breakfast:
  • Scrambled Eggs, turkey bacon and peaches
  • Blender Batter Waffles
  • Smoothies - my husband is our smoothie maker - he experiments with new ones every week
  • Giant Breakfast Cookies and peaches (need to make these this week)
  • Cereal and milk
Lunch:
  • Homemade Uncrustables (using homemade bread and strawberry jam), carrots and applesauce
  • Chicken nuggets, popcorn and peaches
  • Salads
  • Leftovers (we almost always have leftovers for lunch)
    Supper:

What's cooking at your house this week?

      Menu Plan Monday - 8.28.11

Still using more of the freezer cooking that I did in my menu plan this week.

      Food Storage

Last time food's storage was the long grain rice.  I didn't really buy anything for food storage this week.  But I hope to next week - maybe some food grade 5 gallon buckets and some Gamma lids.

      Menu Plan

Now onto my menu, as usual I keep breakfast and lunches simple.  We eat the same thing week after week for breakfast and lunch and we have not died of boredom yet.  I make a bunch of the blender batter waffles on Saturday to put in the freezer for the rest of the week.  I also cook my bacon in bulk and freeze to pull out and microwave during the week.

       Breakfast:
      Lunch:
      • Homemade Uncrustables (using homemade bread and strawberry jam), carrots and applesauce
      • Freezer brown bag burritos, corn and apples
      • Salads
      • Leftovers (we almost always have leftovers for lunch)
        Supper:

What's cooking at your house this week?
