Keepin It Real

My cousin has done some “Keepin it real” posts so I thought I might try one.  First off, today is the first day that I kinda missed Facebook because I miss seeing what is going with people.  My cousin says I will be back but I don’t plan to be.

We are at Mcdonald’s Playland as I speak and I have no words for how loud this place is.  It is a very good form of birth control.  Kids are putting other kids in headlocks and taking them prisoner and girls are beating up boys.  And when you are by yourself with 3 children and you have to go to the bathroom, you go and  you choose the biggest bathroom, and of course, while you are using said bathroom your 20 something month old son grabs the door handle and opens the door and as you reach to stop him the automatic toilet flushes.  Yes, it was awesome.  Nonetheless my children are contained and running out mounds of energy and I plan to leave here, put on pajamas and put their tired little selves to bed.

Now about my husband - it is crazy people, but we will be married 11 years this year and I cannot believe how much better marriage gets every year.  I feel almost like we are dating again and I’m not sure exactly why.  I think I may be able to contribute it to the fact that I am not pregnant or breastfeeding and I have had a good nights sleep for more than two months in a row.  Yep, I think crazy hormones and lack of sleep could make a person me a little loopy for a few years.  Whatever is going on - I love my husband like crazy and he is an AMAZING husband.  I don’t say it often enough.  I am so thankful for the years the Lord has allowed us to have together.  I could go on but it might get a little mushy and you probably don’t want to know all of that.

See since I don’t have Facebook to post random things to you may just be hearing for me more than you want to.

  1. Oh I got the visual of you all in the bathroom and about lost it.
Glad you are getting some sleep and feeling more human. That's always a good thing.
I won't tell you that I'm missing you on FB. Don't want you to feel bad. LOL!
    Have a great night.

  3. I miss you like crazy, but I COMPLETELY think you are on the right track with your decision---whether it's for a few more days or *gasp* long term! I'm about to make some changes in that department as well...though I will still have FB, it's going to be in a much smaller capacity. I love that you are writing more on your blog! I couldn't help but laugh at the bathroom break image. Bradlee just did that to me the other day! However, my favorite part is that your marriage is making you so happy. THAT is worth celebrating. I agree---these days seem to be so much better than they have EVER been and it's a blessing worth celebrating and treasuring.
